This series of Venus in Libra temporary tatto talismans features original illustrations and sigils corresponding to Venus based on various texts, such as, the Picatrix and Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy.

It’s always interesting to note the synchronicities and omens that manifest while in the process of preparing for and working on executing a particular talisman. Usually, this process takes a while as one dedicates time to doing the necessary research related to the planet, fixed star, lunar mansion, decan, constellation, etc. that one will be working with, after making an optimal election. Then there is the process of brainstorming what form the talisman will take, what its bodily relation will be, and how it will be used.

For me the next step, following this is the creative aspect in which I’ll design a sigil, wearable piece or make drawings to be used in the final piece. For the Libra in Venus talismans I wanted to make temporary tattoos as talismanic materia. I enjoy the ephemeral quality of things and liked the idea of a talismanic temporary tattoo that one can wear for an event or outing and have a memorable experience that connects and brings the sphere of Venus directly into one’s personal sphere. With this in mind, I set out to do different drawings related to Venus based on various texts, such as, the Picatrix and Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy. The resulting Venus in Libra temporary tattoos contain my original drawings and Venus in Libra sigil I created, plus the planetary seal, spirit and intelligence of Venus.
